She’ll have to let go of the past in order to find a love that could last a lifetime.

When she first moved to Fairhope, Jenna Lewis had one goal. To disappear. To become a stranger to everyone who knew her before, including her parents. (Okay, especially her parents.) To tell the truth, she doesn’t want anyone in Fairhope to know about her past, either.

For years, she’s managed to keep the two things separated. Lately, though, things are starting to change. She’s making friends, putting down roots, doing well in school. Those big walls she put around her heart are starting to weaken. Which is exactly the worst time for her to start believing in fairytales.

And Preston Wright—the town’s most suddenly eligible billionaire? He’s exactly that. A fairytale. True love doesn’t exist for people like her, and the sooner she can convince him of that, the better off they’ll both be in the long run.

Only, fate keeps pulling them back together. And Preston isn’t at all the heartless rich guy she thought he was. Should she dare to dream of a better future? Or should she start running before her haunted past finally catches up?

I was recommend to read this book by a female friend. I was reluctant to read it at first. Thinking it would be a book version of a chick flick. Funny enough, it turned out to be just that, but at the same time it pulled me in deeper than I thought it would. I found myself getting angry at certain situations, and I experienced many other emotions throughout the book as well. The ending was a little weak in my opinion, but it was a good story with great characters. It's a good read even for manly men, haha!

Delightful unrequited love story. So strong yet so emotionally crippled chic and a rich but unsure guy. Let the chemistry begin.

About the author

Sarra Cannon writes contemporary and paranormal fiction with both teen and college age characters. Her novels often stem from her own experiences growing up in the small town of Hawkinsville, Georgia, where she learned that being popular always comes at a price and relationships are rarely as simple as they seem.

Her best selling Young Adult paranormal series, Peachville High Demons, has sold over 150,000 copies. A spin-off series will begin in 2014, beginning with EMERALD DARKNESS.

She is a devoted (obsessed) fan of Hello Kitty and has an extensive collection that decorates her desk as she writes. She currently lives in South Carolina with her amazingly supportive husband and her adorable son.
